Status quo: a mature but closed and monopolized market
Enterprise-level storage has developed for decades into a mature market that can provide sophisticated storage products and solutions, however, the key technologies are in the hands of foreign giants. Without our own patent technologies, domestic enterprises will have to buy the right of use from foreign enterprises, which have brought along high costs and a potential risk of information leak. Developing independently our own data protection technologies has become a concern of national security.
While in disaster recovery market, enterprises normally would choose a traditional backup & recovery solution. They use RTO and RPO to evaluate whether the solution meets the demands with a proper cost. And for enterprises with higher requirements, active-active or multi-active data centers are deployed.
Therefore, it is vital and an ultimate goal for domestic disaster recovery solution providers to realize technological autonomy and controllability. Under such contexts, Scutech became the first one in domestic backup industry to break the barrier and develop a completely domestic backup all-in-one product – InfoKist.
Breakthrough of domestic disaster recovery technology
InfoKist is a highly efficient, economical and reliable hardware-software data protection system that integrates data backup & recovery, HA and optimized cloud storage. The system enjoys utmost compatibility, extraordinary performance and high efficiency. It allows users to manage the system in a much simpler way while providing more functions.
On May 25, Scutech is about to release its new product – DBackup 6.0, which marks a new stage of domestic backup technology. It provides a comprehensive management platform that can perform real-time backup & recovery to ensure business continuity. It is compatible with popular databases like DB2, Oracle, MySQL and domestic databases like DM, KingBase and ShenTong; compatible with popular OSs like Windows, Linux, AIX and Solaris; meanwhile, it is also equipped with CDP module to meet various user demands.

After decades of development, today’s data protection market has been mature. The perception of data protection solution is no longer limited to simple data backup & recovery but to achieve business continuity of enterprises. It is certain that, in the foreseeable future, domestic manufacturers will play a more important role in information security!
